•Liaison between the office, the field, and vendors to ensure estimates, material orders,and architectural plans are accurate and consistent.•Manage the projects and processes of estimating, plan completion, purchasing efficiencies, andclient management.• Manage the architectural plan process which includes working with architects to get plans on a timely basis,review plans for constructability, and provide complete plans to the field.• Prepare construction estimates by studying home plans; updating specifications; identifyingand projecting costs.• Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials; identifying qualifiedsubcontractors; negotiating price.• Act as main source of budget communication to the field.• Maintain cost keys and price masters by updating information. Use these to measure progressand accuracy of actual construction to the budget.• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.• Find opportunities for purchasing of materials, sourcing vendors and purchasing efficiencies.• Work with clients to understand their needs and to assist them through the process of makingselections for their home.• Keep the clients informed regarding the progress of their home and answer their questions andrequests as needed.
