About Jon Depledge
After starting work in the construction industry in 1997, and 4 years at Leeds College of Building gaining a HNC & HND in Civil Engineering. In July 2016 at Leeds Beckett University in 2014, I achieved a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering Studies. I have worked at BAM Construct UK since March 2016, and after 12 months as an assistant engineer, I was promoted to site engineer and worked on my first solo project in Hartlepool. Since then I have worked in a variety of both projects including steel and concrete super structures. A 90’000 cubic metre cut and fill scheme. I’ve gained several Autodesk qualifications, including many aspects of Civils 3D which is a tool I use almost everyday. I’m a qualified first aider and recently became a mental health first aider.In the past 5 years, I’ve trained up 3 assistant engineers, who are all now working on their own projects.

Demolition and reconstruction of retaining walls for Bradford City Council. Dismantled the existing structures and reclaimed as much material as possible. Then excavated foundations, build formwork and poured concrete walls. The face of the wall included a pioneering pattern, this was achieved by securing sculpted mats to the inside of the formwork prior.
