Jon’s practice is focused on counseling clients in a variety of intellectual property matters. His skills include patent prosecution in a variety of technical fields including mechanical, electromechanical, and software systems. Jon also counsels clients and assists with patent enforcement needs including evaluation of client and third party patent positions in relation to patent enforcement. Additionally, Jon has experience in providing counsel to clients with respect to preparation and negotiation of agreements associated with his client's intellectual property including consulting agreements, product supply agreements, and licensing agreements. Jon's skills also include assistance in due diligence in relation to intellectual property matters. Jon also has experience in preparation of patentability and freedom to operate opinions. Jon’s patent-related experience includes work with medical devices, wireless technologies, software systems, advanced image processing technologies, and other technology areas.Jon also provides services to clients related to trademark strategy and registration. Jon's experience includes assisting clients with both registration and enforcement of trademark rights. His trademark registration experience includes domestic and international approaches to securing trademark registrations for clients.Jon has prior industry experience as a technical manager and engineer at Anheuser-Busch, Inc., where he was involved with projects that included design and modification of advanced automation control systems, electromechanical packaging systems, and high-speed automation projects. Additionally, at Colorado State University, Jon was involved in research and implementation of alternative fuel technologies.
