EXECUTIVE PROFILE Jon DeSouza is a business executive who is at the forefront of the most relevant trends in the industrial space. He’s spent the past eleven years driving a business case for an industry-wide shift to connectorization in industrial applications and has helped position HARTING as one of the leaders in industrial connectivity across the Americas. In the last couple of years, Mr. DeSouza has successfully introduced game changing technologies to the Americas market, including a universal PDU connector for connectorizing data centers and Industrial Single Pair Ethernet.Mr. DeSouza is currently the President and CEO of HARTING Americas. He is responsible for market strategic alignment and company development throughout the region. Mr. DeSouza joined HARTING in December of 2008, and since then he has led the organization to significant market share, triple digit revenue growth as well as the expansion of the company's footprint and operations in the Americas by designing and executing an extensive restructuring process and strategic plan for the region.A visionary entrepreneur with a proven platform of process improvement and thought leadership, Mr. DeSouza’s accomplishments are based on multi-dimensional leadership abilities encompassing: strategy development and execution, leadership development, digital marketing, early technology development and market adoption, budget management and all aspects of negotiations.Prior to joining HARTING, Mr. DeSouza worked for Arrow Electronics RFPD (RF and Power Division), formerly known as Richardson Electronics RFPD, where he led several departments to outstanding growth in increased profitability, including the Northeastern sales division as well as the implementation of a global business unit.Beyond his duties at HARTING, Mr. DeSouza currently serves as a Board Member of ODVA. In this position, he drives the advancement of industrial Ethernet as part of IIoT (Industry 4.0) through the identification and standardization of technologies and devices needed to successfully implement IIoT. In addition, Mr. DeSouza demonstrates a strong commitment to higher education. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at North Central College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Computer Science in 1998.
