Lead engineer in charge of designing and analyzing metallic composite structures for large custom motor yachts.Provides production support interfacing directly with production to improve efficiency, work out issues with parts, making sure everything comes together properly.Leads and co-designs major part lifts and moves for modular yacht assembly, coordinating directly with contractors supplying equipment.Designs and optimizes metallic structures including gantry and pedestal cranes, masts, and fin stabilizer foundations. Extensive work with regulatory agencies such as Lloyd’s Register, ABS, DNV, Bureau Veritas. Designs structures and systems in compliance with SOLAS, IMO, and the Large Yacht Code.Performs extensive materials testing for development of novel metal to composite connections.Analyzes structural strength and natural vibration frequencies using FEA.
