• To review, expand and shape the programme of College events to maximise levels of community outreach and engagement with the various College target markets.• To manage and co-ordinate all college events including College Open Days, Official Openings, Achievement Ceremonies and external events.• To develop processes and liaise with faculty heads to enhance the internal effectiveness of event delivery and ensure professional consistency• To research external funding opportunities for College events and produce professionally written and creative bids to secure funding.• To set event budgets and manage cost to ensure activity comes in on target.

• Liaised with key stakeholders including LOCOG, Blue Light Services and Suffolk County Council to maximise community outreach opportunities aligned to the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.• Delivered a programme of activities surrounding the Queens Diamond Jubilee 2012. These included Beacon Lighting Ceremony and Fields in Trust Challenge.• Ensured that Corporate/Service Risks were identified, monitored and controlled in accordance with the Risk Strategy and register.• Managed the revenue and capital budgets and resources for the specific service area• Co-ordinated the work of any volunteers and identified training needs.• Produced a comprehensive Event Safety Plan for all activities
