With >25 years experience in HM Forces, I joined the Royal Navy in 1998 as a radar operator and a close-range gunner, undertaking multiple operational deployments across global theatres including NATO tasking, Middle East patrols, anti-piracy operations and operations in support of Op TELIC (Iraq) and Op HERRICK (Afghanistan). I succeeded at Admiralty Interview Board (AIB) in 2008, subsequently serving as an Officer Of the Watch in mine hunters, deep ocean survey vessels and also as a Meteorological/Hydrographic Officer in icebreakers operating (frequently) in Antarctica. I have also served as the Tactical Environmental Exploitation Officer in Anti-Submarine frigates on Operations and conducted in-situ, on-ice submarine support during ICEX18. Later I have worked in Mission Planning for UKSTRATCOM Joint Effects and as the Meteorological Officer for the global maiden deployment of the aircraft carrier HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH advising F35B squadrons on operations. I have attained a BSc in Maritime Science and Post Grad in Applied Meteorology, and won the Leader Trophy at the prestigious Defence Academy Shrivenham. I have comprehensive military leadership training across various ranks and strong experience across high pressure/threat environments as well as multiple management successes over large teams, with a focus on delivery and consideration for team ethos. I am a widely-travelled and passionate reader/learner, a fitness enthusiast, a motorcycle obsessive, and always keen to talk about dachshunds.
