During all the hectic times, people in the control room being new etc, I forgot to open the discharge valve on booster pump. You had about 5 minuets to open when you started the main boiler feed pump or you would trip the boiler. Well I tripped, about a 60k restart. Was my fault. After trip I got up from control board to calm down. I was by myself in the break room when Jon came in asked what happen. Told him I messed up forgot to open discharge valve on booster pump, really thought Bechtel would run me off. Jon thanked me for my honesty and asked I be more careful. Sometime your actions mean more than what you do. Very calm, not mad, not yelling, etc, I never forgot to not open a discharge valve again over the next 9 years ha!. A very good manager."
