• Dealing with major loss claims from first advice to final settlement in respect of Binders/ Facultative Reinsurance and Excess of Loss programmes within Property, PI, Liability, Financial Institutions (Blanket bankers bonds & Premise & Transit Reinsurance), Commercial Crime and Cyber. • Review coverage and determine policies/layers with potential exposure• Broking claims to Lloyds and London Company Markets (IUA,LIRMA)• Review, validate and communicate Underwriters full comments to (Re) Assured• Advising overseas markets of first advices/updates/settlements• Technical processing of first advices, updates settlements and reinstatements on in-house claims system (Brokasure) and claims via ECF• Holding weekly meetings as part of my responsibilities for a team of 4 people• Responsible for allocation of work and overseeing that targets and deadlines are met.• Responsible for direct reports annual appraisal process.• Liaising with Claims Director regarding issues on any major losses, claim declinature, reservation of rights and subjectivities.• Liaising with Cedants, Loss Adjusters, Underwriters, Reinsurers, Producing Brokers and Placing Account Handlers in order to achieve prompt settlements. • Verify and effect settlement to loss payee and ensure accounting entries are correlated.
