I worked to establish a wood waste recycling and disposal program for American Electric Power for National Salvage. I worked with the client to understand the requirements we needed for the program to be successful. I also educated various National salvage personnel and management on the internal workings of utility companies so that they would have a better understanding of their clients' needs.I provide safety requirements for our field personnel.We grew the number of AEP facilities involved in the program from just a few to more that 100 facilities across 11 states.I assisted with other accounts outside of AEP when National would bring them on as clients.

I directed a staff of 19 employees and 3 contractors with an inventory of $7,000,000 spread across eight facilities.Streamlined ordering process for three phase transformers by creating an electronic advance notification process for these units which allowed us to reduce unnecessary material demands by $700,000 and provided a means to track orders to date of installation.reduced pole inventory discrepancies by $40,000 a year due to uncharged poles from vehicle accidents. I created an electronic request for billing work orders by teaming with Distribution Line management and engineering supervision.I was able to reduce labor grievances to zero for three years thru careful listening, building effective and open relationships and quick response to issues.

I was part of the AEP Business Logistics organization at AEP which included Supply Chain, Fleet, Security and Aviation operations across AEP.I served as business unit representative on numerous corporate teams which among them included: Business Continuity, Pandemic Preparedness, Storm Restoration, Rigging & Lifting Training Policy and Employee Rewards and Recognition.As the Storm Restoration Coordinator, I was responsible for large scale logistics with warehouses, inventory management, procurement and the AEP Corporate storm restoration team. I created a summary of storm events and responses for Business Logistics senior management that established how our organization would continue to provide needed services during natural disasters or other crippling events.I was chosen to be the Business Logistics administrator for AEP's new safety event reporting system. I was responsible for training over 200 managers and supervisors on the new system as well as providing event analysis and monthly safety reports to Business Logistics leadership,

I provided support and direction to Supply Chain management in various AEP operating companies across 11 states. This support included inventory control management, employee promotional exams, safety event reporting, facility layout and design, forklift training. I was the system liaison for the AEP procurement wood pole and transformer commodity teams. I was also the Supply Chain representative on the AEP Environmental team that established wood waste, lighting waste and oil filled equipment guidelines. I was part of the AEP corporate Safety team.I was part of a three-person team that created the AEP Powered Industrial Truck training program. I received my Powered Industrial instructor certification and trained over 150 AEP employees to be field instructors.I worked with AEP Facilities management in setting the guidelines storeroom and storage yards at new AEP facilities, that included two regional distribution centers in Roanoke, VA and Kingsville, TX. I had the responsibility to order storage equipment, yard layouts, and forklifts.I managed the Supply Chain safety team and provided monthly safety reviews and notices to Supply Chain leadership.
