• Accelerated development iteration and enabled practical TDD by decreasing PHP test suite run time by ~65% while simultaneously simplifying the underlying code, removing dependencies (MonkeyPatch), and establishing full.
• Pioneered a cross-department work shadowing mentorship program to pair the most technically inclined customer support staff with engineers and expose them to code, enabling them to serve customers at a greater depth.
• Enriched team performance by providing code review mentorship, especially around code simplicity, code maintainability, and tactical use of design patterns and PHP language features.
• Reduced false negatives in DataDog error monitoring by ~90% by identifying and properly differentiating Proposify’s email provider webhook responses, leading to multiple bug fixes and greater potential for email.
• Led technical design, implementation, and post-deployment monitoring on Proposify’s Gong integration, the company’s first new integration during my tenure.

• Modernized banking user experience by building a BFF (Backend For Frontend) REST API service layer in Java to allow a new UI to interact easily with the existing legacy monolith.
• Ensured confident collaboration between backend API developers and frontend developers by writing OpenAPI documentation, which acted as both a source of truth and long-term API design documentation.
• Increased confidence in a new currency conversion microservice by adding unit tests, bug fixes, and missing behaviour that were present in the original legacy monolith.
• Enabled efficient testing efforts by creating Postman API collections that were usable both by developers for tests during iterative development, and by QA for feature and regression testing.
• Developed APIs in Java, including mapping from requirements and legacy inputs, new endpointcreation, WSDL integration, unit test creation, and configuration.
