It required me to be responsible for engineering, architecture, and operations. As we grew, I was able to focus exclusively on architecture. I still actively develop every day, but now I also spend time mentoring younger programmers, establishing an architectural roadmap, and working with our operations group to make sure things are running smoothly 24/7. I've had the opportunity at BambooHR to write and release an open source static analyzer for PHP named Guardrail.

I have a lot of fond memories of the developers there. I eventually decided that I had seen and done everything I was going to there and I decided to seek new adventures elsewhere.During my time at Omniture, I wrote their billing software and later led an entire team adding new reports and functionallity to the billing software. I spent some time doing general research and development. I'm good with clients so I also acted as a client facing support developer. I helped IT evaluate new technologies such as terabyte RAID arrays. I did some work doing data warehousing queries on hundreds of megabytes of data. -
ProgrammerGardiner Enterprises 1992 - 1999My father introduced me to computers and, when I proved to be something of a computer prodigy, he had me do some contract work for his company on various projects he was working on. He acted as project manager and I did the development. I wrote a number of custom database applications for various clients of his. These were stand alone compiled DOS and Windows applications. (Much more complicated than Access applications.) They included Inventory + Point of sale management (DOS), and several releases of manufacturing production scheduling software (First DOS, then Windows).
