Since 1991, I have worked as an AS/400 RPG Programmer/Analyst & Consultant supporting a variety of clients and industries including: Fuel Delivery, Manufacturing, Marketing, Service, Shipping, Insurance, Oil & Gas, Banking, Farming, Lumber and Hospital. Have supported numerous AS/400 accounting packages (listed above). My expertise ranges from project management, design, development, programming and support. Have written complete integrated custom accounting packages (GL, AP, AR, PR, Inventory, Shipping, etc) and supporting modules such as: ACH (electronic deposit) and EDI (invoices, purchase orders, etc.). Have written RPG CGI (Common Gateway Interface) programs that run on the AS/400’s HTTP server providing dynamic web based reports and interfaces. Lately I have been working IBM WebSphere Portal. Am comfortable stepping into a new situation and taking on whatever challenges exist, designing a solution and developing a system that works. Have worked with small business as the only programmer and with larger business with a team of programmers.Am very proficient with the full development cycle and enjoy designing and coding databases and file maintenance programs. Am also comfortable with most AS/400 systems operations and administration tasks such as security, version release upgrades, device configuration, backup and recovery.
