Conair is going through a major transformation following the acquisition of the global business by investment company, American Securities in May 2021. IT is a key enabler of several critical aspects of this transformation: a more data-driven culture; a more robust set of planning processes (FP&A and S&OP); and growth through eCommerce. As part of this transformation, the IT team is modernizing all of the core business applications as well as adding in new solutions for Global Dashboards, FP&A and S&OP.

During my time as Global CIO of Conair Corporation (a multi-billion $ revenue, family-owned worldwide consumer products company) I led a 120 person team spread across 6 countries. Major business changes this team implemented included: global rollout of a centralized ERP system (SAP) replacing 25 different legacy ERPs with one single platform; global business integration and visibility via one single IT network; seamless integration of 8 acquired businesses; and opening of 9 new businesses. This multi-billion dollar revenue corporation doubled in revenue, and increased global reach multiple times during this period.Latterly I focused on digital-enabled improvements to the business in various countries. These improvements resulted in new eCommerce and social media analytics platforms to help realize digital marketing advantages through more direct consumer engagement. The business outcomes have been revenue through direct sales to salons and consumers, and accelerated brand growth through increased engagement with consumers through digital channels.My strategic people leadership focus was on recruiting and retaining a team of empowered IT leaders around the world who are positioned as senior partners in their assigned business units. I was transferred to USA to take on the new role of IT leader for the $2.4 Billion snack products business - Keebler Foods - that had just been acquired by Kellogg's. In this role I was the go-to person for all executives with iT needs in this multi-category US-wide business. Accomplishments in this role included: > SAP implementations to support the transition of two divested business units> Replacement of legacy sales planning systems with SAP CRM> Distribution truck fleet automation with onboard computers> Distribution Center productivity improvement with implementation of Pick-To-Voice technology> Implementation of Financial Planning System (Hyperion)In summary I developed great working relationships with Sales, Distribution and Finance departments of this Division; sustained by IT delivery against prioritized business requirements. I bridged the gap between traditional Kellogg organizational culture and Keebler's LBO culture. I was nominated as a member of first-ever Keebler diversity leadership team.

I was promoted to overall Director of Europe-wide Business Transformation program, and led a combined Pan-European team including Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, HR and IT professionals. Drove completion of package-enabled business process re-engineering and ERP implementations in Italy, France, Benelux, Nordics, Germany and Spain; plus implementation planning for the remaining implementation in UK. Ensured business acceptance of business process integration and common ERP solution (Oracle CPG) across European business by working closely with European country management boards. All implementations occurred on schedule. I was European leader on Kellogg's Global ERP Council.

I was IT leader from the start of the Pan-European ERP implementation which was a component of the overall Pan-European business process re-engineering program. This program radically changed the organization structure of Kellogg's Europe from a loosely-coupled collection of country organizations to an integrated Pan-European organization with Shared Services Centers for Finance, Supply Chain and IT. The business benefits were multi-million $ synergistic savings. I recruited, developed and managed the IT team which developed and implemented the selected ERP solution (Oracle CPG).
