About Jonathan Hardman-Smart
I am currently working as a clinical biomarker lead in the pharmaceutical industry supporting drug development through phase 1-3 clinical trials. My key goal is to help support the clinical development of novel drugs to help patients in the future. My responsibilities include:-Supporting pipeline progression of assets as a key member of the clinical study team. - Design and implement biomarker strategies in current clinical trials including contributing to governance meetings, clinical protocol development, lab manuals, statistical plans and study reports. - Devising precision medicine and patient stratification strategies. - Collaborating with CROs and KOLs to better understand novel biomarker strategies.Prior to joining pharama I worked as a dermatology research scientist in academia. During this time I became a specialist in hair follicle and skin biology with a deep knowledge of histology, spatial biology and high-parameter flow cytometry. Key responsibilities beyond laboratory work included grant applications, finance management, staff and lab management.
