Connections with Active Partnerships, Regional and Local organisations and local authorities are key to the success of our work.- Key relationship manager for the BDA with the four National Governing Bodies of the sport, ensuring that we support their key areas of development and strategy, while delivery is coordinated across the partnership.- Played a key role in developing the BDA 2022-2027 System Partner funding application to Sport England and securing £1.9 million. This included the development of the "We are Bowls" 22-27 BDA strategy. - Relationship manage with Sport England for the BDA on progress and development of our System Partner delivery. I was one of two Development Officers delivering the 2013-17 whole sport plan for the sport of Bowls. Our aims for the plan were to increase participation levels by over 12,000 across the four years. This included working with our two targets groups, those 55 and over and those 16 and over with a disability. We did this by supporting club recruitment through our Package scheme as well as our community engagement through the Just Bowl Project.We successful surpassed our targets with 6 months left of the plan and exceeded them by 3,000. During my time as Development Officer I have supported 3 County Sports Partnerships who were Hotspots for 2016 and funded to deliver on targets. I also created, managed and delivered a number of Just Bowl sessions and projects across the country. In this role I managed and developed the Sports for All Project in Sussex which is in place to increase the number of sports clubs and opportunities for adults with disabilities across the county. The project was initially granted £300,000 by Sports England for a 3 year period. In 2 years I managed the growth of the project from a concept to delivering over 60 sessions a week to 1100 unique participants with over 33,000 session visits in that time.I was also instrumental in… Show more In this role I managed and developed the Sports for All Project in Sussex which is in place to increase the number of sports clubs and opportunities for adults with disabilities across the county. The project was initially granted £300,000 by Sports England for a 3 year period. In 2 years I managed the growth of the project from a concept to delivering over 60 sessions a week to 1100 unique participants with over 33,000 session visits in that time.I was also instrumental in securing an additional £300,000 to extend the project into East Sussex meaning to date we received over £600,000 to run and develop the project (£900,000 including match funding). We won a SPARK award for our community summer programme which offered a range of activities for young people aged 16-18 by running sessions in partnership with local sports groups.
