Sales Director For 3 Mercedes-Benz And Smart Market Areas (22 Sites)Inchcape 1995 - 2007London, England, GbI joined Inchcape in 1995 in the position of Franchise Manager for the SAAB and Peugeot business. In 1997 I was then promoted to be Sales Manager for Mann Egerton Renault (Inchcape). In December 1999, it was announced that Mann Egerton was closing and I was part of a redundancy pool with 4 extremely experienced General Managers for the position of General Manager for the Mercedes-Benz Coventry dealership – I was duly appointed and took up that role in January 2000. In 2002 Mercedes-Benz underwent the very public reorganisation of their whole network. Inchcape successfully retained their territory and then acquired two further Market Areas taking their total to 22 business units including 3 smart franchises. In March 2003 I was appointed to the role of Market Area Sales Director where I was responsible for the strategy and delivery of the Sales performance. During my tenure as the Sales Director, we consistently hit all of the Inchcape budgets, all of manufacturer targets and the highlight was when our Market Areas achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the National CSI league (out of 35)
