Main objective to drive out cost through cost savings projects that focused on increase yields, reduce labor, eliminate waste, overhead reductions and improve plant efficiencies.

Escape Artists is a locally owned escape room concept business. Groups enter an originally designed themed room of their choosing and work together to perform a task within an hour. A clock will countdown your time and your goal is to stop the clock before time runs out. This is your main goal. As an added fun competition, we have leader boards, groups.

• As the IE Manager for the Clinton, NC, Wilson, NC, Kinston, NC, Cumming, GA & American Skins Co, NC. These plants consist of fresh operations with Kill/Cut/Conversion as well as processing of Bacon, Hot Dogs.
• Standard Costing – insure the plants have the correct standard cost in place for each product.
• Continuous Improvement – continually look for ways to reduce cost out of operations. The total savings of projects for my plants was $9.5 Million in the past three years.
• Research and test new equipment and processing mythology. Docking bellies prior to slice to improve the Slice Department line efficiency of $500,000 annualized.
• Leadership Development Course Facilitator – Pork 201 – designed to help plant management personnel from various departments of the company on product costing, Root Cause Analysis, Math Principles, and basic SAP.
• Ergonomics – improve employee work areas with ergonomics teams within the plants.

• Researched new ideas, processes and equipment. Justified the projects.Example: Oberlin Oil Filtration project which allows the plant to reuse oil and switch to a cheaper alternative oil while enhancing overall product.
• Develop and implement No Cost/Low Cost Projects at plant. Examples: Eliminate product loss point by implementing a catch pan under belt (cost $325) saving company $26,000 annually. Eliminate glove cleaning contract.
• Develop standards for process lines at plant by research of past run history, research of product yield, performing labor studies and documenting major down time reasons.
• Oversee and manage the overall labor slots for the plant by controlling the number of positions available at any given time. This eliminated unnecessary creation of positions by creating a checks and balances system.
• Work with Corporate Management Teams and other IE’s on special projects.
• Trained entry level IE’s for Tyson Foods, Inc.
