Offering TPM and Maintenance management services to the production industryWith 20 yrs experience in the Production, support and Maintenance of Engineering equipment, holding roles from Technician to TPM Manager working on equipment from SMT Placement machines to Heavy Engineering 30T Boring machines, working throughout the world, South Africa / Australia / China with the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance I bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding to any production environment.Also IOSH trained to understand Health and Safety issues and to identify risks in the workplace.

My primary role was to establish a TPM culture within the company and to improve the site equipment availability.By Implementing a culture change from operators to technicians and management the regime was successful by increasing equipment availability by 20% and improving quality, Also ensuring at the same time that all TPM records are to auditory requirements.The role also incorporated overseeing the day to day general maintenance / programming of SMT/Test equipment and utilising a team of 10 Technician Support / Production Engineers. Introducing them to toolbox talks and a maintenance reporting system also brought structure to the department.

Overseeing and facilitating the implementation/adherence of the TPM regime on all of the machinery within David Brown to a set process created within the DB Business improvement team. Ensuring Adherence by creation of records to Company and Auditory requirements. This has also involved travelling to other DB Sites Australia/South Africa and France to lead the global teams on the implementation/ adherence of Total Productive Maintenance. Hold responsibility as Site Authorised Person for All HV and LV equipment for the DB Huddersfield Site. Maintaining all service requirements and ensuring site regulatory compliance.Recieved Yorkshire Productivity award as Lean Apprenticeship Mentor 2012 for leading 10 Employees through a 6 month Lean Apprenticeship training course in conjunction with Virtual College.Attended a week long offsite Total Flow Management (TFM) training course with the Kaizen institute July '13

As team leader for the Electrical Maintenance I Hold responsibility as Authorised person for HV equipment on Huddersfield David Brown site, implementing inspection, repair and maintenance for all electrical items on site from PAT testing to HV Maintenance. Responsibility for collating machine software incase of critical failure. Leading a team of 4 onsite electricians and various contractors working towards minimising machines down times. Machinery onsite consisting of Lathes, Milling machines, Profile Grinding machines and Test rigs.. Majority with Siemens/Fanuc controls.Attended siemens Site Serv 1 & 2 training courses

Implementing and upkeep of TPM schedules aswell as controlling all machine software in prevention of critical failure. Working with a varied type of machinery from Wire eroders to CNC Lathes.

Initially completing apprenticeship as an electrical engineer then moving into the service dept as Service coordinator then export support engineer. Offering support through different media methods On the full range of 600 Lathe products from standard range upto 5 Axis CNC Lathes with Fanuc/Mitsubishi control. Or support personally should the need be.. worked in many countries supporting the Company. Norway, Dubai, China, France and Trinidad to mention but a few
