While in the USA I worked in a number of temporary positions at the Embassy of Australia and also performed some volunteer work for the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. When not working I undertook a number of courses via coursera.org

My time with SWiSHzone.com involved working almost entirely via telecommuting. Consequently I am able to work well in an unsupervised role, however I am equally happy to work (and have worked) in an office environment.SWiSHzone.com is a developer and supplier of a flash authoring tool, SWiSH Max and other flash related software. I was originally employed by SWiSHzone.com then transferred to DME Pty Limited where I continued to work for SWiSHzone.com under contract. Prior to Jun 2002 I was hired under private contract to SWiSHzone.comWhile employed by SWiSHzone.com / DME I was fortunate to be involved in a number of diverse activities including: Software Development using c, c++, Windows SDK, Flash, AS2, AS3. Although the SWiSH Max product was a collaborative effort, I was responsible for the proprietary unlock system, the ftp upload dialog and much of the supplied component and wizard content. Website development (backend) using php, asp, html, drupal, wordpress. Predominantly I was associated with the design and implementation of staff support pages.  Database development using SQL Server 2003, 2005 and Mysql Newsletter content using wordpress blog (http://blog.swishzone.com). I was the primary content provider between 2010 and Jul 2012. Views grew from 16,000 per month in Jan 2010 to 25,000 per month in Mar 2012.

CSE is a professional engineering service provider of process control, automation and information systems.While employed with CSE Technology I was involved with a number of projects including: Various airport lighting control systems at Learmonth, Darwin and Sydney Airport. Authoring software protocol conversion drivers for Citect, Fix-DMACS and Factory Window.

KEL Aerospace manufactured vertical incidence ionosonds, associated data acquisition equipment and also provided specialized engineering services. While with KEL I under took a number of varied projects including: Software Project manager “FAST” dutch auction system. This system was installed at the Sydney Fish markets and ran from 1990 until 2001.  Designed data acquisition CPU card for DBD-43 data acquisition system. Ported C compiler for use on DBD-43 data acquisition system Fixed and developed software for the DBD-43 data acquisition system (6502 assembly) Installed and tuned ionosonds and DBD-43 systems in various countries.
