I am a second-generation Montana native who loves to hunt, fish and just be outdoors. I have been in education since 1996 and love to guide youth into adulthood. I started my education career as a music teacher. In 2014, I became a school leader. Though I have only been at school leadership for just a short time, I have been a leader all my life.Outside of school, I volunteer as a Hunter Education Instructor and co-lead the Kalispell Hunter Education Instructors. This endeavor allows me to pass on the tradition of hunting that has been a part of my life since birth.I have a strong passion for guiding schools into a Self-Directed Learning environment. I feel this is the best way to prepare today’s students for tomorrow.What sets me apart from other school leaders is my history. Professionally, I have worked in many different industries, always utilizing my education skills in each of those industries. I have worked in call centers in training capacities, in social services training families to become foster parents and in different private schools in various roles providing support and training for both staff and students.
