In my role as Head of Projects I am responsible for the development and delivery of 3 major projects at the Forgemasters business in Sheffield. The projects are phased over 5 to 10 years and comprise major new build works and installation of significant new plant and machinery.

Wakefield, Stockport And Newcastle

Responsible for circa £120m annual turnover, P&L, cash generation, work winning, project delivery, customer management, health and safety, business improvement initiatives, staff recruitment & circa 180 staff across the 3 regional offices (Wakefield, Stockport & Newcastle). Projects included new build social housing, hotels & student accommodation, Higher.

October 2012 to present, Managing Director for Kirkbride Groups’ Construction Services business (a commission for Middlewood Consulting Ltd) Responsibilities include;- Leading the acquisition of several target companies with a combined turnover of £110m.- Production of the Information Memorandum to engage funders. - Production of business plans for each.

Main Board Director responsible for;- P&L and working capital targets for the NW region.- Work winning- Delivery of all commitments to customers within the region- Circa 120 staff

Responsible for Carillion’s Contract Services Division (CSD); a group of businesses that transferred to Carillion through the EAGA acquisition in March 2011.

November 2010 to May 2011 - Operations Director for the South Tyneside & Gateshead and Durham BSF’s.- £76m turnover business unit, successfully delivering P&L and cash targets.- Secured additional £55m orders from these local authorities.- Provided over 40 apprenticeships for local people and 4 placements for homeless people as part of Carillion’s BAOH CSR.

Various management roles on a variety of significant projects across the UK, a selection of which includes;- Portcullis House (New Parliamentary Buildings), £260m new office for the Parliamentary Works Directorate, London.- 88 Wood Street, £100m new office for Daiwa Securities, London. - Collocation Project, £100m new office complex for the MoD, Bristol..
