As the Enterprise Software Manager I am responsible for a team of 17 Software/DevOps Engineers and the projects that they were working on. One of the many major initiatives that I lead was bringing EV Charging support to our Enterprise Cloud offering. This project involved integrating the OCPP protocol with our FMLive Enterprise Fleet Management software in order manage the EV Charger, authorize charging transactions, manage EV equipment, and show EV transactions. This was a two and a half your project that was merged into our enterprise fleet management software and released within weeks of the planned release date. Some of the other major initiatives that have been developed by my team is the creation of our first mobile application for iOS and Android, telematics device for a customer that needed to receive the data via a cellular modem, the formation of our DevOps team and gate access authorization. Projects like these have required me to work closely with many groups within Engineering and our organization as a whole. These have included our stockholders to understand the project needs, our project management team to understand our timelines and resource allocation, our architects to ensure we are implementing the solution correctly and our development teams to ensure the work is getting completed correctly and in a timely manner.

We were mandated to have the Operating Rules implemented by the end of 2012 and we successfully implemented them on time and under budget. This implementation required us integrate the Tibco suite of products with our existing infrastructure. The two Medicaid states that signed up for our assistance in implementing the HIPPA Operating Rules were the first two states to achieve compliance and the only two states that were compliant prior to the December 31, 2012 deadline (http://news.xerox.com/news/Xerox-helps-Mississippi-and-New-Mexico-achieve-HIPAA-compliance).We have drawn out a road map and begun converting Xerox’s Legacy Medicaid systems to utilize Tibco’s Business Works workflows. This migration will use custom Java classes and Web Services that will integrate with the Tibco Business Works workflows to implement an Service Oriented Architecture.
  • State Of Florida
    Systems Programming Administor
State Of Florida Mar 2009 - Jul 2012
    Us
As a Systems Programming Administrator my primary responsibility was to manage the SeeBeyond and Operations teams. This includes supervising the personal in those teams and managing all projects that the teams are involved with.My team took the technical lead in implementing the new online license portal called Versa Online. Versa Online is a COTS package that we are customizing to integrate with our internal processes and systems. This new licensing portal has received great reviews, we have been asked to demonstrate it for other states and my team received Davis Productivity awards for this project.I designed and developed a Web Based system to track our system outages and code migrations. This system was developed using the Java Sever Faces framework with a SQL Server backend. I was the architect and lead developer for the State of Florida’s first Mobile Applications. Version 1.0 of the DBPR Mobile app was designed so people could verify Licensee information on their Android and iPhones. These mobile apps integrate with our licensing system though RESTful (JAX-RS) Web Services running on JBoss Application Servers.I was also the architect and lead developer for a new Inspection Application for our Inspectors to use while they are doing inspections. This application runs on the Apple iPad and integrates with our Licensing system through RESTful (JAX-RS) Web Services Running on JBoss Application Servers. This application enables the inspectors to do the entire inspection process on the iPad including obtaining signatures, printing/e-mail the completed inspection, generating warning letters, and taking pictures. We relied heavily on the Agile Development Methodology for the development of this application and it was completed in a three-month time frame. This project has been nominated for a Davis Productivity award.
  • Acs
    Systems Development Specialist
    Acs Sep 2006 - Mar 2009
As a Systems Development Specialist my primary responsibility is to design, develop, test and deploy both web based and non-web based applications in a team orientated environment. These included applications for both internal and external use.The first couple assignments that I had at ACS were to fix bugs in currently deployed applications. This allowed me to accelerate my knowledge of ACS's internal class libraries and also allowed me to get experience with the Weblogic application servers. After the initial assignments I worked on several new projects that I was solely responsible for the design and development of. The design phase of these projects included obtaining initial requirements, designing and testing databases, cresting flow charts and UML diagrams that show the workflow of the applications. The development phase of these projects have included coding, testing, debugging and deployment of the finished project. The largest and most complex of these projects was to develop a central billing system that allowed us to have one system that would handle all of the invoicing and reporting for the month end billing. The initial design of this application only included one of our products but after several months of successful invoicing we added modules to include our other applications.Another project was to create a batch eligibility application that will allow our clients to submit batch eligibility request in a proprietary flat file format. This application required that we take a proprietary formatted flat files and convert the eligibility requests to X12N formatted 270s to submit to the insurance payer. When the payer returned the X12N formatted 271 we then converted it back to the proprietary format for our client. This product included designing and developing a Java Library that could read, interpret and build X12N 270s and 271s.
