I am interested in (obsessed with) design. Not just the aspects of creativity, but of problem solving. This, I believe, is why I gravitated toward architectural design. I see problems as a way to guide the flow of design. I also enjoy visualization and 3D graphics. I believe that in this day and age clients demand a more and more visual connection with what they are going to invest in. The art and design of a scene is much like photography, except you get to create it all from scratch! I think the presentation of an idea is just as pivotal as the design itself.

Architecture InternCity Of Arlington Urban Design Center Oct 2010 - Jun 2012This position is very exciting in that i get to meet with clients, determine their needs, and ultimately design and visualize their individual needs. This was an amazing learning experience because it is very seldom that at an intern level you get to take full control of a design for a client, or even meet the client for that matter. This opportunity was a competitive position between all interested architecture students at UTA.

Architecture InternPsp May 2007 - Sep 2007PSP taught me the "ropes" of a large firm. My responsibilities were mainly drawing management, red lines, and creating a drawing archive and database for the company. The process of design to construction is the most pivotal lesson I learned from this position. The amount of coordination that a project requires gave me a new perspective on the hard work and opportunities in a large firm such as PSP.
