DMJ brand was an existing company, that was printing and decorating clothing for primarily schools. The business was set up to pre-produce orders, and sell inventory. I was asked to help shift the existing production model from screen printing to a direct to garment operation, and convert the event sales model to an online sales cycle.I learned direct to garment digital printing, and convert from screen printing to a new process. The production was manufacturing about 100 garments a week, with set up and outsourcing. We were able to change the process so that we only needed 1 employee, no set up and no inventory. Everything was produced on demand.We reviewed multiple software companies to operate the sales to 3 different schools. We finally selected squared up, which required no initial setup costs, no annual fee’s and no sales volume minimums. All fee’s were charged as a credit card processing fee,. After completing and building three separate web- stores, DMJ operated independent websites for each school they were doing direct business with. It was a simple and clean model, that allowed customers to own their own store, and DMJ was just responsible for on demand printing. Within 12 months, volumes increased to over $100,000 in annual revenue with only 1 employee and 1 operator. Hugely scalable success story, as the operation time needed for staff was less than 10 hours per week.After setting up the operation, I resigned from working for them in August 2022, to spend time with my youngest daughter who was having struggles still related to covid.

Monthly responsibilities included managing the company, finances, production, legal, banking and company / board leadership. My day-2-day functions were spent as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.As Vice president of Sales and Marketing, I set the companies sales objectives, sales volume by account, revenue targets, and growth margin targets on all existing accounts and set new business market segment target objectives.I handled $4 mm of annual revenue from personal accounts ranging from fortune 500 accounts like American Eagle, LVMH Brands, McDonald's, FedEx, Pizza Hut, Arby’s and the like, down to mom and pop shops with 2 employees. I traveled approximately 100 nights a year, on an average of 30 states annually. Annually I would replace attritioning accounts on the average with 10% of my annual sales, by cold calling, hunting and networking for new accounts.As Sales Manager, I set quantitative objectives for the six territory and national sales reps that I managed. As a sales strategy, we divided sections of each rep’s territory by sales volume, and ranked all accounts and categorized their accounts by code. For example any rep’s accounts with over $100,000 in annual sales were Titanium. Platinum, Gold, Silver, and bronze categories were created down to $5,000 in annual sales. Each rep new which accounts were in which code category, and protocol for handling the accounts, F2F presentations, business incentives, marketing campaigns, pricing and service opportunities were provided to accounts based on there account code level. Each rep was held accountable to achieving their protocols. We had monthly review and discussion meetings, end of the year reviews and personal goal setting meetings with each sales rep.
