Recruited and managed over forty Democratic volunteer observers in twenty-three counties to ensure a fair and accurate hand recount. Coordinated recount schedules with volunteers to ensure 100% observer coverage across Eastern North Carolina. Collected reports from recount observers to ensure the Beasley Campaign can make informed decisions.

Managed a team of six full-time Organizers to engage, recruit, and empower volunteers to successfully organize eleven counties in Northeastern North Carolina, producing a 16% increase in Democratic turnout. Coached my Organizers, five of whom had no political organizing experience, to develop their relationshipbuilding skills. Focused on hard asks, persuasion, and tactics for engaging voters during the pandemic. Resulted in the completion of over 1,400 action shifts and 350,000 voter contact attempts. Led my team to consistently hit 100% of their goals, significantly over-performing historical cycles in the region. Created a pop-up canvassing program in the six days before Election Day in rural North Carolina which resulted in the knocking of over 1,100 doors. Developed a volunteer-led system to deliver paper call lists to volunteers in rural North Carolina without reliable internet access, later adopted by state leadership.

Recruited and managed over 100 regular volunteers and over twenty Fellows & Team Leaders to carry out voter contact, persuasion, and mobilization, culminating in the largest Democratic turnout in South Carolina history. Implemented the campaign’s talking points in all interactions with voters and volunteers. Spoke on background with the NY Times about the campaign’s organizing tactics during the pandemic. Worked with Communications to recommend volunteers to reporters and coordinate logistics. Consistently ranked the highest performing Organizer in the state and regularly exceeded 100% of goal. Organized both in-person and virtually in Jacksonville, FL (March 2020-July 2020) which contributed to the winning of Duval County in both the primary and general election.

Drafted press releases, short speeches, and Op-Ed's for the Congressman; Communicated and engaged with constituents via phone and in person, wrote constituent response letters to enhance transparency and interaction between the Representative and his constituents; and trained incoming interns.

Produced an entire episode of Great Decisions on the State Department to air on PBS which includes designing content, writing narration, supervising editors, as well as selecting footage. Assisted in content creation and footage research for multiple other episodes in the series including ones on the Middle East, the US-Mexico relationship, nuclear proliferation, and the US-China relationship

Worked to investigate the feasibility of establishing operations in Philadelphia, PA. Coordinated with city officials to organize logistics of permit filing requirements. Worked with members of the non-profit community to more about local organizational conditions. Required extensive interaction with non-English-speaking coworkers

Wrote grants for the city, including the full submission of a $25,000 grant from Lincoln Financial Group. Connected with local organizations and increased access to state and federal aid opportunities. Co-wrote a policy to increase the efficiency of adult education that was subsequently passed by city council in August of 2016.
