On June 1, 2023 I transitioned into a new role as the Executive Director of The Neighborhood House, a nonprofit organization located on Milwaukee's near west side. Prior to my new role, I worked as the Deputy Director of the Milwaukee County Election Commission from January 2023 through the end of May. Prior to this role, I worked as an appointed Senior Administrator for the Milwaukee County Clerk of Circuit Court from June 2022 to January 2023. Prior to my Clerk of Circuit Court appointment, I was the Director of Administration and then the Executive Director of the Milwaukee County Department on Aging from March 2017 through June 2022. In this role I oversaw all aging program operations, including managing as many as 72 full-time staff and an annual operating budget of over $18 million. From January 2015 through March 2017 I was the Director of Legislative Affairs for County Executive Chris Abele. In that role I managed various projects within the Milwaukee County Executive's office and worked with various stakeholders to make progress toward achieving the County Executive's vision for Milwaukee County. Prior to that I managed contracts and coordinated public policy and advocacy activities for the Milwaukee County Department on Aging as the Program and Policy Coordinator. Before joining Milwaukee County, I managed Hunger Task Force's $450,000 advocacy budget from 1997 to 2012. As Director of Advocacy, I was responsible for overseeing the public policy research, community organizing, community education, and lobbying activities for the agency.
