Direct and control the staff of the operational product quality department to ensure that they are well motivated and receive all necessary training and development to enable them to carry out their responsibilities to the required standards.Develop processes and procedures to ensure that there is continuous improvement in all company operations and that waste is kept to a minimum.Design and implement Quality Plans for all parts to be integrated into CAD drawings.Work with Supply Chain to integrate quality standards as part of the Service Level Agreement , where appropriate, assess supplier return products working within the quality system to assess failure analysisKeep senior management abreast of significant developments identified during quality control activities.Work with Operations, Supply Chain Management and the Quality System to apply pertinent key quality procedures appropriate to the business objectives. Support supply chains with annual business reviews of key suppliers.Compile quality control reports, create statistical process control metrics, and recommend continuous improvement activities. Ensure appropriate calibration of quality equipment. Develop quality targets and measures company operations and monitor the performance of the company against these.Provide advice and guidance to the company, its managers and staff on any quality control & assurance. Control all departmental budgets and resources to ensure that these operate cost-effectively and in accordance with quality standards. Ensure that all processes that impact on product quality and fully validated and verified prior to implementation and this validation and verification is maintained at all times.To work with the RA/QA Department to ensure that Quality System and Regulatory Compliance are maintained at all times.

Writing and implementation of ISO 9001 : 2008 / ISO 13485:2012 procedures* Liaison with customers and suppliers to ensure expectations are met* Generation of contingency / continuity procedures* Monitoring of supplier performance and improvement activities* Generation, follow up and close out of corrective action reports* Conducting internal audits, supplier audits and risk assessments
