Jon Kroll has produced more that 200 films and television shows, including “The Amazing Race,” for which he was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award. He is currently Executive Producer and Show Runner of "Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted", a show he has run since its inception, for Studio Ramsay and NatGeo. He performs the same roles for “Jeff Jenkins Big Adventure” also for NatGeo.Kroll recently produced the feature documentary “Distilled to Perfection: The Spirit of Japanese Whisky” which is in post production. He previously produced and directed “From Hell to Hollywood,” a documentary about Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Nick Ut, who shot the photo that is credited with bringing an end to the Vietnam War.Kroll’s other recent projects include the Emmy-winning "Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper" for NatGeo Wild; two seasons of “American Grit” for Fox starring WWE superstar John Cena; “Bullseye” and “Utopia,” also for Fox; three seasons of “Big Brother” for CBS; and the controversial UPN series, “Amish in the City,” which critics hailed as “One of the best new reality series of the year.” He has also directed three movies, including the recently re-released “Amanda and the Alien” which has been called “The most ‘90’s movie ever made.”In academia, Kroll has been an adjunct professor at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts for the past fifteen years.Originally from Northern California, Kroll was raised on a Mendocino County commune without television or electricity. He lives in Wellington, New Zealand with his partner, competitive archer Karen Kroll.
