Research Coordinator
CurrentThe Oregon Dept of Transportation annually invests hundreads of millions of dollars in maintenance and operations when you consider materials, contracts, staff, etc. The research coordinator position takes issues management and field personnel identify and translates them into projects which provide data collection efforts. We use data and research to provide direction. The results provide management guidelines to either confirm that current business practice is the best option or alternatives exists which are safer, faster, better quality, or better aligned to ODOT's core values. ODOT Research plays an integral part in first steps to operational improvement and change.
