~ Engage students who were previously unsuccessful in school so that they connect with school, and become active in participants in shaping their future~ Using the principles of restorative action, provide boundaries and expectations through communication and discipline enabling students to thrive in their studies~ From a 40 Developmental Assets approach, connect alternate students with outside agencies and experiences which help build physical and mental health~ Presentations to students on current issues facing students, such as social media awareness and career planning~ Lead portions of class lectures and discussions, and one-on-one assistance~ Create career plans with students utilizing tools such as the Holland Personality Type indicators~ Provide leadership for the food and clothing program, guest presentations and field trips~ Create IEP's (Individualized Education Plans) and assist with intake and transitioning of students
