After working in the nursery and retail business during the summers between my years at Whitman College, I decided to focus on a comprehensive approach in my pursuit planetary science. More specifically, I particularly focused on macroscale GIS based data analysis and map creation using planetary datasets, and microscale analysis of cascadia scoria using SEM and EDS instruments. During my M.S., I focused on Precambrian sedimentology, geochronology, and geochemistry of the Belt Supergroup to better inform its late-stage tectonic setting during the breakup of the Nuna supercontinent. My experiences have garnered me excellent communication skills, critical thinking, and comprehensive analytical approaches to complex problems, in addition to teaching and professionalism during my GTA and GRA. As such, I am actively seeking advancements in the field of geotechnical engineering, geochronology and radioisotope geochemistry, and environmental consulting, in addition to ongoing research concerning carbon sequestration and terrestrial planetary surveys.The results of my M.S. thesis are currently pending publication.
