I began my career as a young jailer out of the academy. Turned 21 and took a deputy sheriffs position. After a few years I transitioned to a municipal police officer where my career took off. I was promoted to a detective position in a few short years and loved it. After a few years I took a Police Chief position in a smaller department to get experience until the Chief is Police in my hometown retired. I was then went back home where I was appointed Chief of Police in my hometown in 2017. I love what I do, I love the people I work with, I love the city I serve, and I love leadership. I enjoy innovation in my career and inspiring our police to be the best versions of themselves they can be. I believe in creating a culture of teamwork and taking care of my team. I believe by taking care is our people and developing great police we get better service to our citizenry. If we focus on an organization’s leadership we develop a culture that will provide for itself and it’s community.
