Promoting and selling panel products for construction industry i.e. plywood (structural and non-structural), chipboard, MDF. My customer base was made up of architects and specifiers, local authorities, community housing especially repair and modernization. I was also involved in selling veneers and laminates to kitchen manufacturers and furniture manufacturers. I also trained builder's merchant’s staff in our products and f.s.c and p.e.f.c certification.

Employed in the Airdrie branch of a National Builder's Merchant working on: Restructuring customer portfolio: devising new target customers; encouraging existing customers to test new products: devising new call plan; strategic targets and budgets; introducing new products; developing high levels of customer care and service; managing bad debts and debtors, increasing turnover and market share without decreasing margins, developing ongoing training for staff and customers where required.

Employed to run the cladding department of roofing contractor (from initial enquiry to completion). Duties included site surveys; preparing drawings, Bill of Quantities; material take-offs; sourcing materials; labour: plant; preparing risk assessments and method statements; liaising with architects and main contractors; preparing valuations work programmes and completion documents and ensuring Health & Safety factors are adhered to on site.
