I completed a B.S. in Fish/Wildlife Ecology at Montana State University in May 2018, where I completed coursework involving both ecology and environmental regulations. I have since worked offshore as a Protected Species Observer (PSO) implementing the Marine Mammal Protection Act, and as a Compliance Inspector for the Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (WDFW) implementing state environmental regulations regarding construction projects in state waters. This included a three-month stint as WDFW’s interim Compliance Division Manager. From these roles, I have amassed 5 years of demonstrated experience assessing environmental impacts for construction projects and implementing relevant regulations as needed. My experience includes assessing liability for impacts, researching historical site data, composing environmental site assessments, and outlining remedial actions to both prevent further environmental impacts and mitigate for already incurred impacts.Additionally, I am the 2nd author for a scientific article discussing fish community composition changes over time in Montana and Wyoming’s Powder River. The article is titled “Functional turnover in a prairie river fish community over 130 years” and was published on 8/22/24 in Transactions of the American Fisheries Society.
