Secured met tower permits and agreements from land owners. Secured acreage in an early acquisition process during met tower installation over a four-township region. Managed research for land owner contacts, coordinated meetings with land owners, educated land owners on developer and process. Included title research and review of agreement packages.Facilitated leases on four wind projects exceeding 50,000 acres. Personally leasing over 8,000 total acres. Ran a crew that worked extensive title work in local court houses. Contract drafting, negotiations. Worked with client to modify lease terms and language as needed. Leased land and worked with landowners regarding met-tower placement and other testing facilities/equipment. Surface agreements and crop reimbursement regarding such towers and access roads to get to them. Negotiated fee purchase of lands for substations on behalf of client. Worked with all local governments(townships/counties) regarding permits and placement of facilities. Trained field-agents in all aspects of project from leasing to title work. Working primarily with farmers in agricultural and rural areas, worked with federal agencies including the USDA and Farm Bureau regarding rights and restriction of certain lands. Worked closely with utility companies to create development strategies, as well as local township, city and county officials.
