Our mission is to help women increase their chance of survival of ovarian cancer. To achieve this goal, our efforts are focused on raising awareness and money to fund programs for women fighting ovarian cancer today and to provide research dollars for a cure.As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Be the Difference Foundation receives the majority of its funding from individual donors, foundations, corporations and sponsorships at our fundraising events. Our signature fundraising event is Wheel to Survive, an uplifting, inspirational indoor cycling fundraiser where 100% of the dollars raised by our riders goes towards the funding of innovative research and women currently battling the disease.Since it's inception in 2013, Wheel to Survive has raised raised more than $1.9 million at events in Dallas, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin, Lubbock and Houston.

Responsible for the day to day operation of a 100,000 plus square foot sports and fitness complex with over 8000 individual members that includes membership retention, fitness and wellness programming, group exercise programs, aquatics programming and recreational events and programs and the management of a 2 million dollar budget. Hired to direct the start up of a 33,000 square foot fitness complex in 2005 including the selection of fitness equipment, layout, and program coordination and implementation. Led a customer service oriented team of 6 department heads focused on best in class programming to attract and retain members. Directly responsible for coordinating and overseeing our annual 10K/5K run as well as our Kid’s Triathlon which includes race management, fundraising and volunteer recruitment. Served as delegation head for Team Dallas participating annually in the JCC Maccabi Games which requires the coordination of athlete and coach selection, outfitting, fund raising, travel and accommodation of 75 to 100 athletes and coaches. Coordinated and managed our first ever spinning and cycling fundraiser for ovarian cancer research called Ovarian Cycles, which raised over $300,000 and had over 300 participants. Served as one of seven members on our management team that strategically plans the direction and mission of the agency Responsible for management of lay leadership and staff relationships through the committee process.

Responsible for the start up and coordination of fitness center management and behavioral intervention programs for two different accounts in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Sterling Commerce and Fidelity Investments. Contract negotiation and compliance, relationship management, program start up and implementation, staffing, marketing, membership sales, invoicing, budgeting, business and program planning, outcomes measurement, return on investment studies, strategic planning and account growth.
