I am a highly motivated individual with well developed leadership skills. I am a S.A Army veteran with 18 years of service and left the military with the rank of Lt col. During my career as an infantry officer I had the opportunity to hone my leadership style under operational conditions and as a training officer. I was exposed to command and staff appointments where I learned valuable lessons in administration and planning.Since leaving the S.A. Army, I have worked in the private security industry in Africa and the Middle East. During this time I have managed security teams in high risk environments and had the opportunity to lead business units of large international security companies in various African countries, varying in size from start up businesses to large businesses employing 7500 - 8000 employees spread over large geographical areas.I have a long term interest in military history and current affairs and in my leisure time I enjoy cycling (mountain biking) and kayaking.
