Oversee the day to day operations of the Sitecore platform. Ensure the health and integrity of the platform for current and future states. Collaborate with developers and customers on projects suited for the Sitecore platform. Optimize and tune Sitecore for the best possible performance so NASA can create and maintain their web sites guaranteeing mission success. Accomplishments: Successfully completed the upgrade of NASA’s existing Sitecore implementation from version 7.2 to 8.1. Migrating all public facing and internal websites with zero down time. Developed a web based touch screen application utilizing the Sitecore platform for the Launch Services Program. The application showcases NASA’s accomplishments, social media, videos and an interactive rocket launch history time line. The touch screens are hosted in nine NASA locations across the country. As platform lead I implemented code standards, best practices and processes for code deployment. These processes have contributed to more stability for the platform in all environments. Additionally, the new processes have resulted in a considerable reduction in support tickets and break fix activities freeing up our developers to be more productive. Optimized and configured Sitecore’s MongoDB based analytics. NASA’s initial implementation was misconfigured causing excessive database reads/writes across five servers which was causing unacceptably high network bandwidth usage. After the optimization, I was able to configure the platform to use only one server for processing the analytics and Sitecore’s bandwidth usage was reduced by over 250%. Completed Sitecore’s certification course for the latest Sitecore version (8.2).

Accomplishments:Designed and supervised the development of all web applications and dealership websites, including the Dealer Source dealer website platform (WIMS), Dealer Source’s online inventory management system and the new vehicle car configurator, Dealer Quick Quote.Responsible for all company branding, designing every aspect of Dealer Source’s overall corporate identity. I produced all advertising and promotional items including brochures, business cards, etc. Additional duties entailed domain and email administration and management, logo recreation, custom window sticker design, dealer portal creation; oversee window sticker printing, label inventory management and distribution to local and satellite offices in Chicago and New Jersey.Created and maintained over 200 websites for automotive dealerships nationwide during my five years with the company. Responsible for developing all front end graphics and concepts including all Html pages, ASP pages, Flash animations, banner advertisements, site navigation, graphic optimization, overall design (i.e., color scheme, functionality, navigation flow, etc.). I worked closely with our programmers to insure our client’s potential customers would be able to find the information they are seeking quickly, be able to communicate easily with the dealership and browse a well-designed website.
