They are a family owned and run business based in Northumberland with satellite offices in Aberdeen, Bedford and South Wales. The organisation is well known for its 24/7 365 days a year “can do” approach to customer service which is second to none in its industry.Having recently developed their own range of hydraulic torque wrenches compatible and interchangeable with other well known brands they are now poised to enter the international arena. I have joined the organisation as their Global Business Development Director, responsible for further developing the new range of tools, building the export division of the business and growing sales around the world by establishing and supporting a global network of agents and distributors.

SIAC Wind Energy UK Ltd are a division of SIAC Construction a 100 year old large Irish based civil engineering company. SIAC Wind Energy are the exclusive European importer of the US manufactured Bergey 10 kW wind turbine.I was employed by SIAC Wind Energy as their Business Development Manager for the north of England initially and later also Scotland. I was responsible for all facets of developing the business including marketing the product, visiting and assessing potential sites, taking clients through the planning and grid connection application process and project managing the installations.

Vortex Valves is an American based organisation and the leaders in their field. They manufacture a unique range of valves for the dry bulk solid handling industry. They supply their equipment to a wide range of industries but in particular Milling, Quarrying and Mining food manufacture, chemical and pharmaceutical. Having been established since the1980’s and with the majority share of their domestic market in 2005 they turned their attention to the international market.I was employed by Vortex in April 2006 as their European Managing Director and charged with establishing and running the company’s European division based in the UK to develop business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. By October 1st the same year a fully functioning business was established and the company officially began trading January 1st 2007. The company had continued to grow at a rate of doubled sales each year thereafter now employing five individuals.

Hytorc is a $100,000,000.00 a year American based worldwide organisation and the leaders in their field. They hire and sell hydraulic torque wrenches to a wide range of industries but in particular Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Quarrying and Mining and Civil Engineering. The Role: I was employed by Hytorc (UNEX) Ltd to run the UK based office. I was required to rebuild the organisation including new members of staff, a new sales force and complete restructuring of all office and factory systems and procedures.

International Pipeline Products Ltd manufacture pipeline utility pigs and related equipment supplying pipeline cleaning products generally to the world’s oil and gas industry. Their clients include all the major pipeline operators and contractors.The Role: As World-wide Sales Manager I was responsible for developing sales throughout the world. I was responsible for a number of office based sales staff and approximately thirty export agents around the world.

Pipeline Engineering Ltd also manufacture pipeline utility pigs and related equipment supplying pipeline cleaning products generally to the world’s oil and gas industry. Their clients include all the major pipeline operators and contractors.The Role: As Sales Manager for the UK, Europe, Africa and the FSU I was responsible for developing additional sales with existing clients, generating new business in existing areas with new clients and developing sales in new areas of potential. I was responsible for a number of office based sales staff and export agents around the world.
