I was responsible for all facets of developing the business including marketing the product, visiting and assessing potential sites, taking clients through the planning and grid connection application process and project managing the installations.

They supply their equipment to a wide range of industries but in particular Milling, Quarrying and Mining food manufacture, chemical and pharmaceutical. Having been established since the1980’s and with the majority share of their domestic market in 2005 they turned their attention to the international market.I was employed by Vortex in April 2006 as their European Managing Director and charged with establishing and running the company’s European division based in the UK to develop business in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. By October 1st the same year a fully functioning business was established and the company officially began trading January 1st 2007. The company had continued to grow at a rate of doubled sales each year thereafter now employing five individuals.

The Role: I was employed by Hytorc (UNEX) Ltd to run the UK based office. I was required to rebuild the organisation including new members of staff, a new sales force and complete restructuring of all office and factory systems and procedures.

I was responsible for a number of office based sales staff and approximately thirty export agents around the world.
