I was democratically elected as the Vice President of Cardiff Met Students' Union and started the one-year post in August 2018. As SU Vice President I sit on the Board of Trustees of a multi-million pound charity organisation. As Vice President representing over 9,000 students, I am a member of the Universities Board of Governors and other university level committees and boards ensuring student voice is considered and central to the universities operations and planning. I liaise with other higher education institutions, South Wales Police and other community groups and stakeholders. One example of a project I have run is Campus Canines, bringing staff, students and local residents together with their dogs on to campus, a project which has received great feedback for reducing stress and building a university wide community.
