Wrote and edited news releases, brochures, articles and letters. Also wrote and edited stories for the BCN HMOdometer, a publication for UAW benefit representatives.

I worked for the Michigan affiliate of the AFL-CIO, the Michigan State AFL-CIO, in Lansing, Mich. Primary duty was writing, editing and laying out the Michigan AFL-CIO News, a monthly newspaper with a 30,000 circulation mailed to labor leaders throughout the state. Other duties included writing and producing letters, brochures and other communications; media relations, and assisting in conferences and conventions. Liaison to the Michigan Labor Press, and taught workshops on writing at Michigan Labor Press conferences.

Worked with the assistant director on public hearings and a report for a transportation infrastructure project.

I worked for the Senate Democratic Office Communications Section. Produced letters, newspaper columns, district newsletters, news releases, speeches and other written materials for Democratic state senators.

I worked for the Michigan UAW Community Action Program at Solidarity House in Detroit. Michigan UAW-CAP is the UAW's political arm in Michigan. Wrote and produced the Michigan UAW Capitol Report, a monthly legislative newsletter with a 15,000 circulation. Also wrote and produced legislative analyses, letters, brochures, news releases, resolutions and speeches.
