1. Providing strategic leadership for the Academy’s community sports programme in order to increase the number of pupils, staff and its local community who regularly take part in PE, sport and physical activity.2. Producing, delivering and monitoring of the annual Community Sports Plan3. Managing all aspects of budgetary control including analysing associated costs, price analysis, setting and achieving income targets.4. Producing and implementing a marketing strategy to promote the Community Sports Centre to local groups and highlighting activities available at the Academy to members of its local community.5. Managing the community use of the Academy’s sports facilities inc sports hall, dance studio, 50 station gym, floodlit netball and tennis courts, football pitches and swimming pool through its Community Sports Centre.6. Building good relationships and strong partnerships with a variety of local sports organisations to ensure that a broad programme of sports and physical activity opportunities are offered on the Academy site.7. Preparing and delivering reports for Senior Managers and Governors on participation and financial performance8. Responsible for management of a 20m swimming pool and a Community Swimming Programme which provides swimming opportunities to pupils from local primary schools.

1. Providing strategic leadership for the Norwich School Sport Partnership (SSP) in order to support schools in Norwich to develop PE and school sport opportunities for pupils aged 4-18 years old.2. Develop strong relationships with head teachers to set a clear vision for the SSP to ensure that it meets the needs of member schools.3. Producing, delivering and monitoring of the annual SSP Development Plan4. Managing all aspects of budgetary control including generating income from a range of sources, budgeting and procurement. 5. Managing a core team of staff to deliver the Developmentl Plan including production of work plans, performance management and staff development.6. Managing the delivery of an annual programme of school sport events including competitions, fun runs, leagues, dance shows and festivals.7. Coordinating a programme of CPD opportunities for school staff 8. Developing effective partnerships with external organisation in order to secure additional resources and opportunities for member schools.9. Producing and implementing a marketing strategy to promote the SSP and the opportunities that it provides to a wide range of different audiences.

1. Involved in writing the Council’s 3 year Sport and Leisure Development Strategy and the writing and monitoring of subsequent annual action plans. 2. Provided support to clubs from a variety of sports in order to develop and grow the opportunities that they provide to the community in Norwich3. Managed a range of projects which engaged targeted groups within the community (eg, women and girls, older people, children from low socioeconomic areas) in sport and physical activity in order to achieve key Council objectives inc community development, crime reduction, health improvement).4. Delivered a number of facility development projects inc a national standard BMX racing track (£100k) and new outdoor floodlit skate park (£300k)5. Lobbied elected members to raise the profile of sport within the council. This led to the council funding a number of key projects and facility developments. 6. Launched and managed a new grant scheme to support talented young athletes in Norwich7. Wrote a fortnightly page in a local newspaper (Norwich Evening News) to promote community sports opportunities in Norwich. 8. Produced a monthly newsletter to highlight development opportunities for clubs and coaches.
