The Customer Service unit provides customers with a single point of contact for all supply related matters and it handles the receipt and processing of orders, along with all related customer communications.

As a BM I was responsible for the complete local operation in Iceland. Brammer runs an insite services for Alcoa Fjardaal were they run the warehouse and are also responsible for keeping inventory of MRO parts. Implementing cost savings, setting up the warehouse operation at site etc.

I was responsible for all aspects of the business. Rymi had over 30 suppliers with over 2000 item numbers on stock. Whilst working there I managed to turn the business around and get it into the "green" again. We simplified the model by reducing the number of suppliers, increasing stock turnover and at the same time keep up the service level. My involvement was focused on people, buying, marketing & sales and cost control.
