Originally trained as a renaissance style artist in printmaking, painting and sculpting with a BFA in printmaking and Minor in Design. My additional aptitude to engineering and computers led me to be a custom designer and prototype engineer for artists and art institutions for more than a decade, where I combined 3d design software with hand based creating workflows. In 2015 I transitioned to Virtual and Augmented reality research while earning my MFA, where I built exploratory teams to create new functions for AR and VR particularly client side tools for aligning multiple users in the same space. I use the technology we invent to create unique artistic experiences based on embodiable design concepts immersive technology affords. I have taught, created and continue to develop new techniques in AR/VR/XR and beyond. I currently lead teams of engineers to research XR techniques and dev ops for global distributed cloud systems. I work managing full stack development from the ui/ux and asset creation to the low level C++ coding. My true talent lies in my ability to critically engage with these topics from a high level to a low level and create and manage teams to tackle sometimes seemingly impossible tasks. Often creating methods not yet considered by industry, I thrive on the execution of taking science fiction and turning it into reality.
