Jon W. Patterson, a 4th generation Montanan, grew up on a large farm and ranch unit with 5 siblings in Chouteau County, MT. He was an Honor student (NHS all 4 years) and Student Body President his Sr. year.Jon is a graduate of Montana State University, (with Honors), in Economics, and was first in his graduating class. He also did post graduate studies working on an MBA at Montana State University Eastern, The University of South Dakota and Syracuse University.After college he spent over 30 years in the banking industry primarily in commercial lending (Structured Finance and Asset Based, and CRE), credit administration, and loan manager positions, in Montana, Iowa, Nebraska, So. Dakota, Minnesota, New York and Ontario Canada, with Wells Fargo, Deutsche Bank, Key Corp, M & T Bank, and National Bank of Canada among others. He was the Senior Credit Officer for a $4 Billion public Bank (BSB Bank) in Syracuse, NY before returning to Montana. He also did loan audit work as a Consultant for KPMG Accounting. He has extensive experience working with the following industry segments: Manufacturing including, foods, metal products, wood & paper products, automotive parts, furniture, plastics, construction materials, medical equipment, electronics, pharmaceuticals; Construction- both residential & commercial; Mining & Energy, including copper, coal, primary metals and oil & natural gas; Wholesale trade, Retail trade; Transportation Industry; Medical/Healthcare; Professional Firms; Hospitality Industry; Agri-Business; Import-Export Trade; and Public Finance.He is a graduate of the RMA Cash Flow Lending School, Northwest Intermediate Lending School, and a past member of RMA Risk Management and the Turnaround Management Association. He is an expert in credit & lending, business valuations & sales, risk management, company cost controls, due-diligence procedures, business field examinations, financial trend analysis, financial fraud investigating and business turnarounds. Jon started J & C Consulting LLC in 2005 and he provides management strategic planning, business sales, refinances, securing financing, acquisition and disposition help, business valuations, due-diligence services, fraud investigations and financial consulting to business's, other professionals, individuals and financial institutions.Jon and his wife Cheryl have lived in Bozeman Since 2005. They recently sold a regional, specialty food manufacturing company they purchased in 2015 after turning it around and doubling its size and profitability.
