Chief Technology OfficerMavrek Aug 2023 - PresentLas Vegas, Nv, UsMavrek.com is an M&A transaction platform designed to streamline transaction management for small business buyers and sellers, as well as experienced M&A professionals handling multiple deals. I joined the team to re-architect the platform, prioritizing scalability and the delivery of critical features. Solutions ArchitectMavrek May 2020 - PresentLas Vegas, Nv, UsJust a quick update on what I've been working on over the last few years:Created serverless AWS Rest-API for the (undisclosed) industry. The platform utilizes the following execution services: AWS API Gateway, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS Simple Email Service (with delivery events), AWS RDS (MS SQL), AWS Simple Notification Service, AWS daily/hourly/Weekly CRON tasks.Product API constists of 237 API endpoints that manage Application API Requirements, 127 API endpoints for platform administration.Platform integrates with external payment/subscription processor for billing requirements and provides notification endpoints for payment processing notifications.Platform integrates with ActiveCampaign to manage email marketing using distinct user roles.Platform leverages OpenAI API in unique ways to generate enhanced language from initial user generated descriptors, along with auto-generating documents using existing application data. The output is expressed using industry structural norms and presented to the user for final edit. AI has demonstrated itself to be a huge time/money saver for this industry and I expect that new features will further radically transform their use of AI in the future. -

Consulting Java Native Interface ExpertZerog Games Feb 2009 - Mar 2009Zero G Games was a primary contractor charged with developing a new operator interface into RoboDynamics Telepresense (TiLR) Robot. My duties were to create the Java callable layer down into the motor control circuits for both motion and camera positioning motors that was reliable. Primarily this was a Java (JNI) layer written in C++ that proxied calls from the JVM to another apartment thread (via synchronization objects and a hand crafted call marshaller) that ultimately drove the motor control interface. Product was demonstrated in front of a live audience at the Twiistup - Los Angels 2009 tech preview event. It was also pretty cool.

Directshow Video EngineerMesoft, Inc. Apr 2007 - Feb 2008UsMESoft's video product was extremely unstable and subject to random crashes. Reimplementation of the products Java Native Interface (JNI) to marshal calls from the JNI layer to a properly managed COM apartment fixed this stability issue. This involved creating a custom call/parameter marshaller. Created several DirectShow filters that would allow the product to play a variety of media types, with variable speed control and full support for video scrubbing that was frame accurate. Assisted with a variety of .NET core UI implementation for new products, including custom UI development. Languages/Technologies used: C++, DirectShow, COM, .NET, WPF, Java, JNI, Multithreading. -

Software EngineerMicrografx Jan 1994 - Jan 1997Us(via Visual Software Acquisition)Initially brought in to add my extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Windows platform to the development collective. The company product was a Unix port of a 3D modeling and rendering application that did not work well on the Windows platform. The company objective was to publish a Windows95/Office95 compliant application. This required a complete, from the ground up re-write of the application. The core technology written in C language was stripped, re-packaged and a new applications framework utilizing MFC was created. The initial version of this product was named Instant3D and was written entirely in C++ and MFC. New requirements were received for a more sophisticated product with the same ease-of-use. This product was named Simply3D. It offered the addition of drag n drop objects, textures and animations. Simply3D was also one of the first products to support Direct3D and VRML output. Just prior to the release of Simply3D, Micrografx acquired Visual Software for its Microsoft Office compatible products. Research and Development work was started for the next product that could marry the 3D world of Visual Software to the 2D world of Micrografx. This component-based framework was dubbed DSX and provided MFC based applications the ability to integrate within the single window of the DSX based application framework.
