As the Technology Director, I work with Clinical Leaders to develop, implement, and lead the strategic plans to ensure organizational goals are met. I do this by directing all aspects of project management including planning, budgeting, staffing, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for specific IT Solutions. I formulate long-term objectives while managing day-to-day operations. Applicaiton portfolio covered over 35 different applications. I facilitated a build with Pharmacy leadership a drug library that was sent via wireless communications to the medical pumps/devices which allowed nursing and clinical teams access to the proper infusion type. This created better patient control and drug flow rates, these guardrails and software designs ensured safety for the patient and drug compliance for the hospital. This knowledge can be applied to many different IOT Technologies. I have improved workflows and security systems by 50% by aligning our software systems to simplify clinician capacity to interface with our medical devices which provide key insights to the patient and care teams. I did this through network diagrams, swim lanes process, and mapping data values to the clinical application and the EMR (Electronic Medical Record). In addition, I created guidance documents in collaboration with Cyber Security to secure our environment by removing threats, loopholes, and backdoors, saving millions of dollars for the business. Through in-depth process structure, I have designed seamless integration of servers, desktops, and interfaces while also managing data structures to support our project objectives thus improving the data outcomes between applications contributing to the cohesiveness of project functionalities using HL7 and Dicom. I lead projects for more than 32 facilities in the western US and have a deep knowledge of Information systems, PC, mobile, and tablet devices. I understand complex database structures, applications, and web applications.

I managed budgets in the millions for multiple concurrent medical device purchases for replacement of existing equipment. Ensured timely delivery within budget constraints, proving valuable data points that executive teams used to make business decisions and create future technology project objectives, TCO, ROI, and strategic value for Banner Health. I prepared presentations summarizing key findings from research conducted into emerging technologies relevant to our business areas. I did this by creating detailed reports outlining project features and capabilities, project planning, costs, schedules, and other relevant information for executive and senior leadership management review. I analyzed customer requirements and designed customized solutions that met their needs while adhering to industry regulations, implementing innovative approaches towards solving challenging problems in the field of clinical technology. I initiated and led the development of guidance documents for Medical Device Cybersecurity advocating the use of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework’s 5 core functions which included ISO 13485 to ensure compliance with industry standards. This resolved complex technical issues encountered during engineering projects in a timely manner.

I assisted in development and purchase of web-based applications as well as database management tools, providing technical support to users regarding hardware and software applications and troubleshooting errors. I monitored system performance and identified potential issues to prevent service interruptions. Identifying areas of improvement in existing IT infrastructure and recommending solutions accordingly. I worked with architects, cybersecurity, and governance to develop and maintain documentation, ensuring project goals were met. I was responsible for network servers, cloud infrastructure, and end user access to different applications. I also maintained documentation related to system configurations, installation instructions and troubleshooting steps which eliminated redundancy and allowed us to scale our business and data management software faster.
