Demonstrated expertise in areas including monitoring design, watershed assessment (status and trends), pollutant loading and hydrodynamic modeling, and geographic information system technology. I also have regulatory experience with Minimum Flows and Levels, Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs), Reasonable Assurance Plan development, and National Pollution Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES).

I held the position of Environmental Specialist in the Integrated Water Resources Program of Sarasota County monitoring water quality and quantity and their effects on biological indicators such as seagrass and scallops. I also interacted with regulatory agencies on behalf of he County. I also co-founded the Sarasota County's volunteer group, Sarasota Environmental Aquatics Team (SEA Team), a Gulf of Mexico Program Gulf Guardian Award winner, working with citizens and scientists to better understand seagrasses and scallops in Sarasota's waters.

I worked in the Chemical Ecology Program at Mote Marine Laboratory for 13 years as a Field Manager and Staff Chemist, participating in studies of estuarine water, sediment and biological parameters.
