Born and raised in Northern California, I have served in California's public school system since 1994. During that time, I've held the positions of coach, classroom teacher, Vice Principal, Principal, and Superintendent. I assumed the position of Superintendent of Klamath-Trinity Joint Unified School District in July, 2014. As a coach, I had the honor of coaching 3 championship teams in two different sports, basketball and football. As a classroom teacher, I was twice named “Teacher of the Year”. As an administrator, I received the “Outstanding Young Educator Award”; was recipient of “Best Business Practices in Government Award” from the Lions Club. As an administrator, I have worked at 5 different school districts in California with ages ranging from pre-school to 12th grade. Three schools that I had the honor of leading received Distinguished School and one school received the coveted Blue Ribbon. I attended Junior College at College of the Siskiyous and transferred to CSU, Sacramento where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Science. After pursuing a career as a commodities broker, I decided to go back to school to earn my teaching credential and finally, earned a Masters in Administration from National University, Sacramento. I am currently enrolled at Capella University for my Doctorate in Education.
